JFK is full of amazing lounges that you can relax in before your flight.
Here are a few:
#1 The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, New York-JFK
Virgin Atlantic JFK Clubhouse is designed to be both forward-thinking and playful. It’s a place you actually want to spend time and relax in. The lounge is equipped with a trendy cocktail bar and a pool table. The food options are plentiful with a full breakfast menu, a variety of tapas including pea-mozzarella arancini and veggie dim sum, as well as larger bites like the Clubhouse burger and chicken tikka masala. Also, there’s a Bumble & Bumble salon and a spa with complimentary mini-treatments utilizing Dr. Hauschka products.
#2 Lufthansa First Class Wining & Dining Lounge, New York-JFK
This fairly compact lounge, comes with a seating area up front with armchairs and a self-serve bar! The main portion of the lounge, however, is the dining room, where there’s an extensive buffet, including an entire dessert section, and table service with a la carte menu options. Recently, this lounge has been offering Maine lobster bisque and 72-hour short rib with red-wine reduction. Guests here can also drop down one floor to the main lounge to use one of two shower suites.
#3 Delta SkyClub, New York-JFK
Since its opening at JFK’s new and improved Terminal 4 a few years ago, Delta’s flagship SkyClub is the nicest and largest in the airlines network and includes a few amenities that are rarely found anywhere else. The SkyDeck, a large outdoor area overlooking the tarmac where you can order drinks and food and even enjoy the free Wi-Fi as you watch the planes, is one of the lounge’s biggest attractions. There’s enough seating for about 400 guests plus 50 workspaces in the interior of the lounge. There’s also a bar with free drinks and snacks as well as premium spirits, wine and beer for sale. This lounge features six shower suites.
#4 British Airways Concorde Room, New York-JFK
There are only two British Airways Concorde Rooms in the world, one at the airline’s hub at London Heathrow and one at New York JFK’s Terminal 7. What makes this lounge so special is that its a lounge within a lounge within a lounge (Lounge-ception!). It possesses a luxurious aesthetic and is usually surprisingly quiet. There’s also a full-service restaurant, a chill lounge with overstuffed furniture, a private terrace with views, and a complimentary 15-minute Elemis Spa treatment.
You can enjoy all these lounges at JFK when you get to the airport early using Super Shuttle.
