How To Get To the Atlanta Airport Train Station
Taking MARTA is easy whether you need a ride to or from the airport! The MARTA station at ATL is located within the Domestic Terminal, right between the North and South Baggage Claim areas. If flying out of the Domestic Terminal, you’ll exit the train station a quick walk away from your flight. Passengers who want to reach the International Terminal check-in area should hop on a free shuttle, which departs outside Baggage Claim. International Terminal shuttles run 24/7.
When you get back and need a shuttle ride from the International Terminal, look for the International Shuttle Connector on the Arrivals level. Alternatively, use the ATL Plane Train, which runs to the Domestic Terminal Baggage Claim stop. Once you reach the Domestic Terminal, just follow the signs to the MARTA station.
Atlanta Airport Trains: Which MARTA Lines Serve ATL?
Two MARTA lines travel directly to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport: Red Line and Gold Line. Both stop at the following stations: College Park, East Point, Lakewood, West End, Five Points, Peachtree Center, Civic Center, North Avenue, Midtown, and Arts Center. They also collect and drop off passengers at Lindbergh Center, after which they part ways. Red Line will take you to Buckhead and Sandy Springs, while Gold Line runs to Doraville. Parking at MARTA Stations
The MARTA map also shows which train stations provide car parking services—and most of them do! Each stop that has a car sign inside the circle offers a safe and affordable short/long-term parking area. All MARTA parking facilities are accessible around the clock except the Kensington and Lenox stations—they operate from 5:30 AM to midnight. Instead of driving to ATL and paying for Atlanta Airport parking, you may park at one of the following Red/Gold Line stations:

MARTA Train Schedules
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority offers frequent and regular departures. Whenever you reach a station, you won’t have to wait for too long to hop on a train. On weekends, trains run roughly every 20 minutes. Here are the approximate train frequencies Monday through Friday:
- 5 AM – 6 AM: 20 minutes
- 6 AM – 7 PM: 15 minutes
- After 7 PM: 20 minutes

MARTA Fares & Passes
A Breeze card or ticket is required for all MARTA train rides. Tickets are for single uses, while the card costs $2 and can be reloaded for up to three years. The regular MARTA fare is $2.50, and it includes four free transfers within three hours. Senior citizens, as well as persons with disabilities, pay a reduced fare of only $1.00.

How To Take Amtrak to Atlanta Airport
Amtrak doesn’t run to ATL, but there’s an Amtrak station between Midtown and Buckhead. Atlanta Peachtree Station is at 1688 Peachtree St. NW, around 14 miles from the airport. The easiest and most popular way to travel between ATL and the Amtrak station is via one of the app-based transportation services. We suggest that you request a Lyft from Atlanta Airport or Atlanta Peachtree Station and reach your destination in less than 30 minutes. If you think about taking a train from ATL, you’d have to get a Red or Gold Line train to Arts Center and then hop on a bus 110 to Peachtree St NE & Deering Rd.
